What is the DTE Marketplace?
The DTE Marketplace is an online store where DTE residential customers can receive instant rebates on energy-saving products.
Rebates
Do I need to fill out a rebate application after purchase?
The DTE Marketplace offers instant rebates, so no additional application is necessary. The rebate is applied to the order total before checkout.
How do I apply for rebates?
On the Cart page, click Apply Rebate before proceeding to checkout. Your shipping address will be validated to ensure eligibility for rebates. Once validated, the rebates will be applied instantly.
Is everyone eligible for a rebate?
To be eligible for rebates, you must be a residential customer of DTE in the State of Michigan.
Individual product eligibility is based on the service you receive from DTE. Refer to the guide below:

Why am I seeing the same product both with and without rebate applied?
Some products have quantity limits. If you are eligible for instant rebates on a certain product, you will see the rebates applied on products up to the quantities indicated below. You can still purchase additional items beyond the rebate limits shown above, without the instant rebate applied.

What if I ordered multiple similar products from the Marketplace?
There are limits to the total quantity of a particular item you can order at one time, as well as across transactions. Based on your order history, you may not qualify for a rebate of a particular item during this transaction.
I’m not seeing the rebate for my product after I added it to the cart, what do I do?
If you update your cart (add or remove products, or update the quantity you are ordering) click “Apply Rebates”. This will update all available rebates to your cart. If you do not click “Apply Rebates” after updating your cart, you may not receive the fully rebated value of the items you are ordering.
Based on your order history, you may not qualify for a rebate of a particular item during this transaction.

Thermostat Installation
How do I install my new thermostat?
Installation is simple and most people install it without assistance. DTE does not offer installation services for thermostats. Please be aware of the installation requirements for each thermostat before purchasing.

What is a C-WIRE?
Some thermostats require a C-wire to power the device. The ecobee4 and ecobee3 lite have a Power Extender Kit (PEK) included to reliably power your ecobee for homes without a C-wire.
