The ecobee3 lite thermostat helps you live better and save money. It uses local weather and your system to take the least amount of time to cool or heat your home. Through the feature of smart home/away, you can ensure comfort when you're home and save energy when you’re not. The ecobee3 lite also provides alerts and reminders to offer peace of mind. It sends you alerts when something isn't working and reminders to help you maintain your equipment. Room sensors are not included.
Check your system compatibility before you buy. Compatible wiring is required for installation. If your wiring is not compatible, consult with a contractor for installation assistance.

Smart Savers is a smart thermostat program that rewards you for reducing your energy use during periods of high demand. You save on your electricity bill by participating in Smart Savers events year-round, which also helps us maintain the reliability of the energy grid. You must be a DTE Energy residential or small business electric customer, have in-home Wi-Fi and central air conditioning or an air source heat pump to participate.
Upon enrollment, you agree to participate in Smart Savers Events, that will occur only on weekdays (no holidays) for up to four hours at a time between 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. You can anticipate up to 56 event hours year-round. During an event, your thermostat will never be adjusted by more than four degrees above your current setpoint.
Enroll by September 1, 2024, and remain enrolled through September 30, 2024, to receive a $50 bill credit, payable in October 2024. Your continued participation will result in a $50 bill credit annually.
